The EEC-IV 60-pin PCM on the 1991–1995 3.0L V6 Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable is mounted on the right rear corner of the engine bay, on the firewall.

To be more specific, that corner sits right next to the passenger-side strut tower. The arrow in the photo below points to the PCM's exact location.

How To Safely Probe The PCM Connector -Without Damaging It (1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 5.2L, 5.9L V8 Dodge Ram Pickup)

Your Taurus or Sable's fuel injection computer is also known as:

  • Electronic Control Unit (ECU)
  • Powertrain Control Module (PCM)

In Ford's technical jargon, it's called the Electronic Engine Control (EEC) Module. As I mentioned earlier, it's located in the engine compartment of your Ford Taurus or Mercury Sable.

Since the Electronic Engine Control (EEC) Module on the 1991–1995 3.0L V6 Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable is a 4th-generation engine management system computer, it's known as the EEC-IV module.
